Monday, September 19, 2005 - Flavor of the month............ and not

Is it me or has the US press found a new mantra since Katrina, that being hurricane. I mean I really feel for the people who lost everything, especially those who paid the ultimate price, however the press seem intent on reporting every gust of wind that has occured since Katrina.

The latest is tropical storm Rita which is now approaching the Florida Keys and................ gasp! nearing hurricane strength. Seems to me that the bottom feedering parasites are on a theme, just as they were after 911.

The press in the US resemble some sort of demented parrot, repeating itself over and over again until you feel as sick as the aforementioned bird. Whereas the British press are more like a spiteful Cinderella-esque ugly sister, prefering to concentrate their coverage on personal attacks, especially the potential downfall of rich showbiz stars.

The psychotic looking wall-eyed Scotsman (who makes Ian Brady look normal) defied all odds last season, culminating in bringing his team to the Champions league. Well things are going from bad to worse this time-around, from Champions league to UEFA cup to possible relegation battle? Phil Neville's decision to join the blue side of Merseyside appears to be  almost as good a decision as Michael Owen's to depart the other team from Scalleyland, the year they went on to win the Champions league.
