Friday, September 16, 2005 - Carpe diem

I was planning a trip to Florida as I am at a major crossroads in my life, the purpose of the trip was to look at the standard of living, property prices and to scope out the Tampa area of Florida in general. I was planning to go with a freind of mine who is also called Tom. I've known Tom about 16 years, he's a carpenter originally from the Battersea area of London ( no dogs home jokes please). We had planned to go in the next week or 2. Yesterday I got a phone call from Tom, he was calling me from the hospital, he had been having chest pains and when they looked at him the doctors found his coronary artery was 95% clogged, they immediately took him in for an angioplasty procedure, he is doing fine but had a close shave there, and he is only 42.

So I guess my point is you never know, life is short so carpe diem ............ I will now take my own advice and resume posting inane nonsense on line all day.

Anyone watching the new Survivor show on CBS. It's one of the few reality shows that I like. Yesterday kicked off the new season and I noticed one of the waiters from our local P.F. Changs China bistro is a contestant;
