Its Full Steam Ahead

Well I got off the telephone yesterday to Robin Roach - Driver Recruiter for Seafood Express, and I could not have been happier.  He answered all my questions and was very helpful - as usual.

I was kind of worrying what would happen in the first few weeks of us arriving.  We know Simon will not be earning a wage for the first 6 weeks as he has to sit his exam and do medicals and all other stuff connected with his job - but it was things like, Where will we stay, what will we do, Schools for Danielle and all other things that wizz around your head in the first few weeks.

I have been on the web everyday and I can not wait to move - but first we must fit our brand new kitchen that is still in boxes in the kitchen (see picture).  Plus we have to redecorate the hallway as me being the bright spark I am has ripped all the wood (See Picture) that was in the wall out - Simon could have killed me!

Well I'm off to start  again on trying to scrape the old artex off the kitchen ceiling(see picture) - as Simon is going to be working on the kitchen this weekend.

I hope you all have a great day - I know I'm not, How I love DIY - Not!!!!

Prince Edward Island Is Going To Be Our Home

Well Simon has finally spoken to the General Manager at Hoffmans and I can tell you that it was a major disappointment to Simon.  The bloke was eating while he was talking to Simon , he did not seem interested in answering Simons questions and he was just rude!  So Hoffmans is out the window.

We both sat down last night and decided that PEI is the place we want.  The company Simon has employment with are really helpful and friendly - and thats what we want.  We don't want to feel as if we are putting someone out by asking questions.

If any of you can offer advice on PEI then I would be extremley grateful.

Whats The Point?

Right thats it - I give in.  Simon has just told me to stop pushing him into calling Hoffmans - What the hell?  Im the one who's done all the blinkin research into Canada, I'm the one who has sorted everything out, I'm the one who has emailed every company I could find, I'm the one who did his CV and now he has told me to basicly BACK OFF!

I'm not happy - Not happy at all

Just Pick Up The Bloody Phone

Well its proving harder to get hold of the General Manager from Hoffman.  He's rather having a day off, or his cell is turned off or he's not answering his phone in the office.

Is it just me or does it seem that they don't want to speak to Simon - well one last try tonight and then lets start again tomorrow.

Fingers Crossed

Research, Research and More Research

Well the whole weekend has been devoted to researching Lloydminster and watching the Rugby World Cup.  I have found out loads since Friday - about Lloydminster that is, not the world Cup.

My daughter said to me yesterday, "Look Mum, just go where theres loads of parks and toy shops" - was that a big hint or what.  Simon is leaning more towards Alberta at the minute due to being home every evening but I'm still stuck in the Middle.

Simon is going to call Hoffmans this evening so I'll let you know how it goes.

Its Looking Good

Simon called RJ Hoffmans last night.  They have recieved his Resume and they are extremley interested in him (YES) and he was told to call back on Monday so he could speak with the General Manager (a Mr Gerald McNabb).

Things are going well at the minute, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
