We got up this morning and it was still wet from the storm.

We went out in the car and picked up some bread and cheese and set off for Dargaville. It was a bit rundown, but not like at home. We walked through the main high street which looked like something out of small town USA.

This afternoon the weather cleared up a bit so we went back to Whangarei Falls. There were loads of families down there walking.

The Falls looked great with the extra water from the rains.

I am totally amazed by the amount of birds and insects there are around here and the noises they make.
