Hi Everyone ,
I have recently moved to Morocco , quite near to Rabat and I am on a farm . I moved here in September and to be honest it has been quite a cultural shock !
My family moved here not knowing quite what to expect but, happily so far things have gone ok . You just have to get used to a slower way of life and have plenty of patience . The scenery in this country is quite stunning and most of the people are very hospitable . Being a female I wasn't quite sure how they would react to a western woman but, so far ( touch wood )things have been fine . Morocco is a changing country and women seem to play a larger role here , especially in the cities .
At the moment I am home shooling my two children which has turned out to be quite a challenge . My son is ten and my daughter is a very socialable twelve year old . She is finding it the hardest to adapt as she misses her friends in the UK. We hope to find other British Ex-pats in the same boat but, so far we have not met any British apart from the ones that already work here on the farm .
Best Wishes J
