Boring bits

kids have now finished school and so the little bits and bobs that I've been putting off must now be done.

I filled in my P85 for the Inland Revenue but eldest daughter lost it on the way to the postbox so must order another one  serves me right, I should have posted it myself.

I rang up the TV licence to cancel and request a rebate. The IVR led me through to a message machine telling me to leave my name and address and they'd call me back in three days !! Is that how long it takes to get the message to India ?!!

I've been off sick most of this year and noticed that I'd only received one wage slip so I rang work for the rest and to ask when I'll get my redundancy payment. That was two days ago. No one has rung me back nor replied to my email.

I've given notice on our rental and asked for a reference and am now going to cancel the rest of the DD's. Looks like I'll need every second of the next five weeks if today is anything to go by.

When we got the visa I thought all I had to do was have a goodbye party and pack. Oh how wrong I was !
