We have had a couple of snow storms 20cm - 30cm of snow last weekend and the temperatures plunged to -27c with windchill taking it down to -37c all week. Needless to say the fire has been burning 24x7. At this low temperature there is no give in the cushions in the car seats, the engine sounds like a diesel engine as it rattles and coughs until it is warm. oh yes there as much ice on the inside of the windscreen as outside!. Our windscreen washer fluid is able to stay liquid at -40c ....

Typically the winter is the most bitter last couple of weeks of January and the first two weeks of February.  Tonight we have another snow storm heading this way to deposit another 15cm of snow tomorrow. Skiing this weekend  (or snow shoeing) so we are looking forward to it. I will try to get some photos this weekend.
