Whelbourns in Canada

• Friday 14 March 2008 - *** Weather Update ***

Weather revision, forecast snowfall has reduced from 50cm down to 5-10cm phew!

.

But that means I will still be shovelling. I heard on the radio this afternoon that northern New Brunswick have had record snowfalls and it is the most in living memory. One poor lady was describing how it feels like she is living in an igloo because her husband cleared the snow off the roof and they have little tunnels to let light into the down stairs windows.

.

Our basement windows are blocked out by the snow too.  I think we have about 100+cm of compressed snow and upto 200cm on the snow banks. Signs of spring are sparse, although I have seen two crows building a nest.
