No we haven't made it in Fredericton Society. This was a business breakfast (coffee and muffins) where Mayor Brad Woodside (Fredericton) announced that Fredericton has been nominated in the Top 7Intelligent Communities of the world as judged by this forum. Over the next year we (the city) have to work together to try and become the Number 1 .

So the breakfast coffee and muffin included a box of smarties (The Slogan is Fredericton World Class Smarts) which included a useful 500mb data key with logo's and suggestions about how to market the award. This is my contribution to that aim and hopefully one of the first on the internet besides the Official Site.

I will let you know how it goes. (I know you are dying to find out if we are successful). Another thing I found out is that Fredericton is growing at a record rate and they are expecting it to double its size / population in the next 10-15 years... so that will take us up to about 100,000 in the city  phew all those people in one city as Mick Dundee said "they must really be friendly to want to live so close to each other".
