Whelbourns in Canada

• Sunday 9 March 2008 - Snow, Snow and even more Snow

We heard on the local radio announce that New Brunswick has received the most snow since 1966.  By my reckoning we have had over 2 metres cumulative easily.

.

This week we have had about 20cm of snow, several hours of freezing rain and today more snow (about 2-5cm). This is our third winter in Canada and the first hd hardly any snow, last year was reasonable. This year has been challenging but not unmanageable. The snow banks on either side of the drive are about 2 metres high, and it is hard to shovel the snow over them. Gemma climbs up on top of the snow bank and shovels the snow off the tops to the back of the pile. This gives us some more more room for us to shovel snow off the drive.  --

.

Snow is forecasted for next week too! At least the temperature isnt freezing just averaging about -5c . Keep watching for the climate change update! as we proceed into the next ice age.
