It seems like February has been the winter retreat month. Apart from Tango practice, Newcomer potluck, Julie's birthday dinner. Valentines day,  it has a sensation of batten down the hatches and watch TV .

Because of the cold weather we get at this time of the year, there is this two week mid winter retreat, when you don't really speak to neighbours, apart from perhaps when clearing the snow you wave at each other. Everyone drives out and then back home and rushes into their homes.

The isolation is passing now, and Income Tax return season is in full swing. (perhaps they all stay in to do their returns). Julie's new business venture has made it more complicated for us this year. However we should receive a bigger rebate than the two previous years.

Tango practice is going well, I will have to get Gemma to video us as we cavort and career around the room. We still haven't got to the lesson where I bend over backwards to pluck a long stemmed rose from the vase with my teeth. I live in hope and Julie lives in fear.

Work has been interesting and looks like I will be back on the road in the near future. If all goes well I will have some work in Saint John for the spring and summer. On the plus side I get a rental car complete with paid petrol for the whole of the period. Saves some pennies and saves mileage on the Ford Escape.

We had a great birthday dinner for Julie at Jive's Restuarant on Main street. Gemma and I had Chicken Balti and it was one of the best I have had in years, and not just in Canada. Julie had Pork Loin stuffed with apple and mushroom and Kathryn had half rack of ribs. We had appetizers and the girls had a dessert to share, Bottle of wine, and coffee for Julie and I. All in it came to $136 before tip.  Great Value! We recommend it unreservedly.
