Well Friday night Tango lesson went better than expected and I didn't fall over! But we did get 8 hours of freezing rain. It makes for a more exciting driving experience . Imagine driving on a very large straight ice rink and you will get the feel for driving in freezing rain.
Here are some video links showing how freezing rain effects us in Canada.

My passengers always complain because I laugh and whoop it up when we are sliding sideways. (one way to hide your fear)

John and Donna are our dance teachers and there was a big turnout about 10 couples for the lesson. Some had been coming since last September so they made us look like plonkers as we walked around sliding our feet and the men (well me) looking like they were doing a John Wayne impression. It went well and we had a good time meeting new people and learning something. Saturday we were both a little stiff, our Tango Dancing muscles need more exercise.

The weekend was a tidy up weekend with lots of cleaning and not much progress. I opted to retreat to the garage and do Manly cleaning plus splitting a few logs in preparation for next week (snow and -12c forecast). The current snow has been thawed and rained on then frozen. It is compressed and hard, the next lot of snow will provide a great x-country skiing or snow shoe death march surface or should that expression be .

Sunday night saw us back at Tango practice. We were introduced to more (accomplished) Tango dancers who have been coming for about 3 years. We looked like dancing puppets. Looking down at our feet and counting numbers while they slid and tango'ed around the floor. Met some more Brits too and we all congregated in a corner gabbing away. Then someone said those magic words "I love your accent"...... Back to dancing, vow of silence taken by all in the group.

No photos of us attempting to Tango (yet) watch this space. We have another lesson tomorrow night (unless snowed off).
