WOW talent is abound in Fredericton!
I kid you not. Anyone who has looked seriously at Fredericton will have seen information on its annual Harvest Jazz and Blues festival at the end summer. We have been to them and they are great fun. Huge amounts of music freely available or some of the more famous players for small cover charges.

Well this week the East Coast Music Awards are being held in Fredericton and I really didnt think much about it. I managed to get two tickets to the East Coast Countdown supershow at the Crown Plaza hotel.
.
The long and short of it is we had a great time, the talent was amazing unbelievable breadth. I will put a couple of links to the guy that Julie and I were totally sold on. His name is Matt Anderson and comes from a small town just south west of Fredericton (Perth Andover), a truly gifted guitar player and a voice that has a touch of Chris Rhea about it. His version of there aint no sunshine when she's gone
His website there are some more samples of his music, "Leavin Blues" is pretty good too.
.
Another act we saw were a group called the Divorcee's a rock country sound coming from Fredericton and Moncton they too are local.
.
We must have enjoyed it because we stayed to the end and eventually climbed into bed at 1am |
