First Days with Gran and Grandad Here in Oz
Well, I'm going to try and remember what we've been up to so far but here goes.....

Mum and Dad arrived late on the 15th January.  The girls were high as kites and from that moment on, have bearly left Mum's side.

The next day, we took it easy.  We had a wander around the local shops and some show homes as evreyone was pretty tired from the late night the day before.  The next day we drove into the Queen Vic market and Dad filled 2 cool boxes and 2 bags with meat from the butcher section.  Needless to say, he spend the rest of that day butchering and my freezer has never looked so good.  He's even split everything and labelled it with cooking instructions.  Next week we're going back and he's going to teach Mike how to butcher a buttocks and make it into a pile of steaks etc.

Next day we popped down to Williamstown and then took the ferry into the city.  While there, we had a drink on the south bank and then took the ferry back in time for tea.

On the Saturday we all went into the city and took the bus tour around the city stopping off for a chinese meal in China Town which was lovely.  Then on Sunday, we had a fairly quiet day getting our packing etc done for going on holiday.  That afternoon we needed a few bits and pieces so we went up to Watergardens mall and the girls and Mum and I did a little shopping while Dad and Mike wandered around Bunnings (Aussie's version of B & Q).

I know that's pretty brief but I'll try and pad it out a bit later, I just wanted to get it down before I forget.

Coming next ..... our trip to Sydney.  Oh, and how could we forget - there's a new addition to the family.  Adrian and Catriona have had a little boy called James and we're really delighted for them and looking forwards to meeting him at Christmas time.  :-)
