We've had a lovely afternoon with Sandra and Jim and family.  Thankfully the sun eventually made an appearance too which helped lift the homesickness.  We had a massive BBQ of steak, veal and kangaroo with lovely salads (thank you Jim and Sandra) and after that, Mike, Jim and the kids went into the pool.  The kids had an absolutely brilliant time.  They were giggling and laughing so much, it was great.  There was no doubt we were VERY homesick but we really did have such a lovely time at Sandra's and because it was soo different, we really forgot about being homesick for a while.

 

After a long swim, the kids were getting a little cool (it was probably around 7pm by now mind you).  So Sandra ran a bath for Ellie, Rhianna and Becca and they got into their pjs.  We then had some dessert and a cuppa (Jim and Mike opted for more beer lol) and around 9pm we came home.

 

We managed to keep Ellie up long enough for a call to Pam and then Donna and evetually we got her to sleep around 10.30pm. 

 

What a different Christmas.  Very strange but also lots of fun.
