12th August Mike's Birthday
Yes another year has passed and my first birthday in the southern hemisphere!  I had a long lie this morning and Gill made scrambled eggs for brekkie (isn't it sad the things that become a treat!!).  Once we were all up, we drove back over to Caroline Springs for lunch with Sandra, Jim, Nicole and Rhianna.  We had a nice lunch and the kids had a chance to play with new toys and dressing up stuff.  It's only when you see them playing so happily that you realise how bored they must be sitting in the car as we drive round and around looking for somewhere to live.

After lunch Sandra told us about what she knew about the local schools etc which was great.  It really is a nice community and has so much potential.  You'd have to be a fool to believe the advertising, but it's as good as anything I've seen on the East of the city.  The only thing it's missing is a bit of maturity, but that will come.

Anyway, we stayed for dinner and a bit of birthday cake (you're never too old for cake and candles!!) and then off home for a web chat with my parents and brother Steve.
