Day 3
Busy day today.  We decided to drive into the city as we were tight for time and Mike had 2 appointments made, one in the CBD and another in nearby St Kilda.  We decided it was best to park in St Kilda then take the tram into the city.  It took a fair while to get there but we managed to find a car park fairly easily via a brief tour of Albert Park.  Just as we were about to get on a tram Becca threw up again - nice!!!!  She seemed to perk up quickly after that so we continued on into the city with our appointment with Westpac.  We found Westpac (bank) easily enough and all went smoothly completing the opening of our bank accounts but boy did it take too long.  We were supposed to be there 30 mins but the girl dealing with us was sooo sllowwwww and it took and hour and a half!!!  Thank goodness I had some TV shows downloaded onto my phone for the girls to watch!  After we were done with the bank we decided we needed a cheap buggy for Becca so we popped into Big W and picked one up for $12.00.  We then had a bite to eat and bought a Melway which is a streeet map of all of Melbourne which is invaluable given the size of the place.

Back on to the tram and we were back at St Kilda 10 minutes before Mike's next appointment.  This was supposed to be an informal chat with the friend of an ex colleague of Mike's.  We parked the car near the office and the girls and I waited there whilst Mike went in.  It turns out that it was actually a proper interview which caught Mike off guard, but he said it was a valuable experience.  During the interview, both Mike and the guy he was with agreed they didn't have any available positions which would interest Mike but he told Mike that his skills would be in demand and he shouldn't have any problems getting work.

We got home around 5pm after our busy day and I was due to be collected by MArgaret and Hugh for out night out at 6.30pm.  Becca sill wasn't very well so she was in bed by around 6pm then Mike and Ellie made themselves a pizza for dinner while I got ready.

My night out was great.  It was arranged through one of the expats sites we use and there were around 16 people there.  I met some people I've been "chatting" too for almost 2 years so it was really great.  Cheap too, my meal cost $30 plus $7 for the wine which I took as it was a BYO.
