31st July 2007 - Singapore Stopover
Well, last night was tough due to jet lag and the girls were up a fair bit but we decided that no matter how tired they were today, they weren't getting to sleep ao we could get a decent sleep tonight.

We started our day with a lovely breakfast then organised a tour of the city for the afternoon.  We then spent an hour or so at the hotel pool which was great then picked up some snacks and got on the bus for the tour.  The tour was perfect, 5 brief stops with a commentary in between.  We saw Raffles Hotel, the Merlion, China Town, Little India, the Business and colonial districts and the Botanical Gardens.  Singapore is a lovely city, very clean, safe and friendly.  The locals seem to be amazed by Becca's curly hair, they kept touching it!!!  One girl even asked if she could have her photo taken with her! What's that all about????

Both the girls tried to fall asleep loads of times on the bus but we kept prodding them and they were litle stars and somehow managed to go the distance.  We had a quick dinner and came back to get them bathed around 7pm.  We've paid to get online in our hotel for the night (which is how you're getting this blog), so had a quick chat to Mum and Dad and the girls are now in bed asleep.

Tomorrow we need to check out at 12 and we get picked up at 5.30 pm to get to the airport.  We fly to Melbourne at 9pm.  We're hoping to go for a Singapore Sling in Raffles afer check out so watch this space.  There's some photos of our flight and Singapore uploaded if you fancy a peek.
