Well, the long dreaded goodbye to my Granny didn't happen yesterday as she was unwell and not able to come to Mum's. We're seeing her tomorrow instead, so that's another sleepless night for me then?????????? Thanks for al the lovely comments you guys have left for me. I can't explain how much strength this gives me. You're all great.
On the plus side, it gave me a free afternoon so my Mum and I took the kids into Edinburgh for one last wande along Princes Street. I tried to point out the castle and the stunning georgian architecture etc etc to the kids and what was the reply "look Mum, there's McDonalds, can we go in, can we?"!!!!!!!!!!!
The girls and I also had a last check up with the dentist before we go and all got the all clear. Ellie nearly pounced on the poor man as she was desperate to show him her new teeth and her new wobbly ones too. Actually, an interesting point came up whilst leaving the dentist. I asked if we were going to be removed from his books now, but he said we stay on for 3 years so should pop in for NHS check ups when we're back on hols next. He also said, if we do go back in within 3 years, we'll get to stay on his books a further 3 years. Excellent. He's a fab dentist - great with the girls, and me (I hate going) and he's NHS so nice and cheap (relatively).
Mike's now got 3 interviews set up for arrival in Melbourne and is smiling for the first time in weeks. He's been so flat out at work so it's nice to see him coasting through his last week. Funnily enough, he has just appointed an ex manager of ours (we used to work together, that's how we met) to take on one of his projects when he leaves.
