Spring Showers - A**E

Well, what a lovely spring that was.  We had 2, maybe 3 weeks of lovely weather and now it's reverted to type and it's raining again.

Not contstant rain though, the type that tempts you with sunny spells so that just when you think it's safe to hang out the washing, the rain comes back on as if it's been hiding behind the shed waiting for the sound of the pegs coming out!!!!!!  Ggrrrrrr

Mike took the girls for a walk yesterday and they were like drowned rats when they came home.  Straight into the bath for all 3 of them and another 2 loads of dripping wet, muddy jeans and coats to wash (with nowhere to dry them).

Still, the rotten weather hasn't spoiled our weekend too much and we met up with Claire and Stephen Degnan for lunch on Saturday and spent yesterday in Glasgow shopping.  Even better was that Mike took the kids to the cinema to see Mr Bean so I got 2 hours of peace and actually managed to try on some clothes and bought 3 lovely new tops and a present for my friend Gill's new baby Abigail.

My family has for the first time ever, arranged a family day out to Blair Drummond Safari Park this weekend, and it looks like the good old Scottish weather's gonna spoil it.  I suspect it's going to be cancelled.  Real shame, we were all really looking forward to it.  Watch this space.

Plans Are Coming Along Nicely

We're doing well getting ourselves organised this week.  Have got a huge pile of envelopes to be posted cancelling this and redirecting that.  Also moving towards cancelling old email addresses and credit cards today.

Mike's also downloaded the episodes of 24 we've missed since losing Sky so it's going to be a week of Jack for us - excellent.  Next is Spiderman 2 as we're going to a special showing of No3 organised by Mike's employers.  And then we'll ty to get up to date with Lost and Heroes.  Don't you just love the internet?  Talking of which, we got Mike's Mum and Dad all sorted with MSN at the weekend too and they're delighted with it (at least we think they are).  I think Jim was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality as he really didn't think he'd be able to hear it.

What a Star

Well, as you know, Ellie lost her first baby tooth on Friday at nursery.  She now has a new wobbly one too which she's VERY excited about.  She got a £2 coin from the tooth fairy and we told her she could buy anything she wantedwith it except sweets.  And what does she want to buy?......

A new toothbrush  .
