Is This a Taste of Life to Come?

What a great day we've had.

With the house all packed up and the worry over whether or not our "stuff" would fit in a container gone, we're finding life has become a lot simpler.  Of course, we're also in a much smaller house so there's a lot less housework to do.  Add to that that the sun is shining so the kid are not in the house making a mess and getting bored and we're a bunch of happy campers.

This morning we decided to have a family day and that's what we did.  We even all went to the barbers togther to watch Mike get his hair cut.

Next was a visit to the swimming pool and then into town for a spot of lunch and shopping.  Back home, we played in the garden and our neighbour and his little girl popped over for a blether.  During this time, Mike also erected the swing that Cheryl had given us and put stabilisers on the bike she gave us for Becca too.  The kids LOVE the swing, a huge hit.

I cut the grass too, and I think it took maybe 15 minutes tops.  In the old house, the garden was so big it took about 11/2 hours!!!!

Before dinner we went to the park together and I came back early to get the tea on.  The kids are now in bed, but not asleep, and the housework is done so we're just reflecting on what a lovely day it's been.

We've not often had such fun filled days as these.  We couldn't understand why, but when we thought about it, for the past 2 years we've been planning the move to Oz.  The year before that we had a toddler and a baby and the year before that we had a baby and a bump - when you put it that way, it's no wonder we were alway busy at weekends lol.

So, before I ramble on too much more, I guess what I'm trying to say is that we're hoping that many of our weekends will be like this in the future.  Here's hoping :-)
