It has finally happened.  Mike has resigned!!  He finishes work in 10 weeks and we fly 2 weeks after that!!!

AARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

On a positive note, we're getting quite settled into the rental we're in.  The kids love it, they are sharing a room for the first time ever and so far we've only had one night were they were up to mischief.  Our neighbours are Stuart, Sharon and Katie.  Katie is just 3 and the girls and she are getting on REALLY well.  Our two are in their garden and vice versa all afternoon.  Not sure if this would have happened in our old house anyway, but the girls are spending wwaayyy more time outdoors which is fantasitic to see.  Ellie in particular is a real TV freak and during the winter probably watched far too much. 

However, now that the sun is out when they're home, they're in the garden.  Weird thing is, they don't have any of the toys they had up the road (trampoline, bikes etc) yet they seem happier!!!  What does that tell you?  On that note, my friend Cheryl has donates her kids' old swing to put up and her sil has given us her kids old bikes which were being replaced.  Just need to get the swing up and buy stabilisers for the bikes and we're sorted.

Back to the rental, I'm still not 100% happy with the cleanliness but I think the only thing that would do that now would be new carpets, and that ain't happening lol.  The kitchen's really teeny but on the whole it's fine, and certainly takes a lot less time to clean.
