Around 6am this morning, Rebecca woke us up wanting a drink and a cuddle. Just a few moments later I glanced at the time and thought, oh well, another night has passed and no visa, oh well, maybe tomorrow. Then the phone rang, and my world turned upside down - again!!!!!!!
Our visas have been granted - and in record time too (less than 5 months). It's been a very odd day indeed. I told my parents and they were great about it, my 87yo granny was a little teary, and I dread to think how the inlaws will take it. The kids were exstatic, really happy and we've had some lovely messages from BE friends too which is fab.
Champers is in the fridge for tonight but I've got playgroup duty tomorrow so I better behave myself - well, maybe not but I am dreading 2 hours with 25 3yos tomorrow morning lol.
Mike posted our passports off at lunchtime - not hanging around there :-). Also got letter from our solicitor confirming our acceptance of the offer on our house has been posted. As soon as we get the buyers final agreement to the terms back, the deal's a good un and we can book flights and get the cat shippers booked too.
What a month February 2007 is turning out to be. When it started, we had a house and no visa, and by the end of it, we should have no house and a visa - not too bad eh?
BTW, can I say, I feel so bad for all those still waiting for visas, esp Sam and Abdel and Bexie. Guys, I really really hope your visas all come in soon. I can't explain why ours arrived so quickly and it must feel crap to be on their side of this wondering why they still don't have one.
