Yesterday, Rebecca and I went into town to hand deliver the signed agreements to the estate agent. He confirmed the the For Sale board plus some directional signs (as we are in a wee cul de sac) would be put up same day. Later that afternoon, they emailed the wording of the brochures to us for approval. A few quick changes and we sent them right back, to be told you'll be online from midnight tonight!!!
The girls and I got home from Mum and Dad's around 4.45pm and before we turned into our street I told Ellie to watch out for the yellow for sale board. Well bless her, for the rest of the journey she recited out load "Yellow For Sale board". I asked her why and she said so she wouldn't forget why she was so excited as once the house is sold she could go to Australia" So, round the corner we go, and there it is. Not quite sure where my stomach was at that precise moment mind you
.
We had been in the house just 5 minutes when the bell rang. It was Dawn from round the corner. Apparently her sister and bil (our vets) are really keen to move to our area, and when I had mentioned our move to Dawn last year, she told her sister and she's been waiting on us coming up for sale all this time. Wish she'd told us, could have saved us an ea fee if they buy it.
Anyway, Dawn came in for a cuppa and a wee look around and told me she'd get her sister to call later that night. And she did just that. We officially have our first viewers coming on Saturday at 2pm.
On a down note, the ea's directional boards are nowhere to be seen, and neither is our web page so they will be getting a call this morning. Not a great way to start off our relationship with them.
Oh, do you remember last week my sil was in a mood, and spoiled everyone's afternoon. Well, yesterday she was brand new, and we had a good old chat!! Go figure!
We also got a letter from the kid's nursery yesterday confirming their temp decant to St Margaret's school will start on 26th Feb which is a pain in the ass. They need to know if we want Ellie to go in a bus but she's not happy about it so I'm going to have to write them a note this morning and say yes, but only if it still means I can comfortably get to and from playgroup to collect Becca too.
On the immigration front, yesterday was a big day. Lesley from the list of October applicants got a case officer which was big news and we were all very excited as this is the first of our group to get any movement. Also, Pearl from the site got her visa. This was a biggy as Pearl has had cancer and didn't think she'd get it at all. Great news.
What will today bring?
