Spent Friday afternoon with Pam and the kids at a new softplay in Livingstone then went to McArthur Glen (discount retail place) and for the first time ever, didn't spend a fortune in Gap (and that's quite an achievement).  Did however, manage to pick up a few bits and pieces for Mike and the girls in Next and a great Bench top for Mike too so he's a happy camper.

We've spent today decorating our bedroom and it's looking fab.  I'll post some photos of the place once we get the whole house done but it's going to look great.  Still got a little to do in that room but should all be done by lunchtime tomorrow and that'll be us one step closer to getting the house ready for sale.

Had a webchat with Andy in Sydney today using the new PC and webcam and he says we were the clearest of anyone he's talked to so it seems we made the right choice to upgrade our kit.  The laptop's still slow as a dog, but as soon as we get the PC set up completely, we'll rebuild the laptop and it'll come with us on our flight to Aus.

My sore back's getting better by the day - quicker than I dared dream off - phew!!  I think I'll even be able to get to the gym on Monday (maybe not the bike mind you) which is great.  It's feeling so good that I'm thinking the trauma caused when I fell last week wasn't as severe as we thought.  Not that I'm complaining mind you.

Have shifted 3lb off my Xmas excesses so it seems the diet's still working.  I have to say though, it was lovely being able to just have a glass of wine/choccie whenever I wanted over Xmas. 

We have booked our Xrays for moving at the Nuffield on Tuesday.  I've to call the clinic for the medicals on Monday morning and they should be able to fit us in fairly quickly which is great.  We've got the forms all filled in and ready, so tomorrow we'll get the PCCs organised at the police station up the road, and also get the passport photos required for the medicals and xrays.

Nursery's and playgroups are all back on Monday - yeee haaa.  That's it now until April and Mike's hoping to take the Easter hols off work.  Then, they are back again until the end of June and we're just praying that Mike finishes work around that time too.  Of course, before that can happen, we need to get visas and sell the house!!!!!

I need to go upstairs now, been watching Most Haunted, and Mike's left me alone down here and I'm getting scared.
