Just sent George Lombard the 2nd installment of his fees for his professional services as our immigration agent. It's a LOT of money (to us at least) but it is about the best money we've ever spent.

"IF" we get to submit our visa application (assuming ACS skills assessment comes back positive) then we'll need to make a final payment to George and also another big one to DIMA. The old plastic's gonna be hurtin'.

As an aside, we were looking at suburbs on the 'net again tonight and Ferntree Gully looks interesting. Found THE most amazing property - 4 bed, spa, mega garden and outhouse for £140k. Just amazing. Going to do some more research on FTG as it's closer to the CBD than some other areas we've looked at.
