Welcome to our blog, no sure how often this will be updated, but if there's anything worth mentioning happenng in our world then we'll try to add it here....
So, what are we currently up to?
Last week we had a great trip to Glasgow to The Wiggles show. We hadn't told the girls we were going so it as a great surprise for them. Becca's chin was almost on the floor the whole of the first half lol.
Had a long weekend this week and went to see Pirates of the Carribean - fantastic movie. AND, after a second course of accupuncture, I managed to sit for 2 and a half hours with NO PAIN. First time in 4.5 years. I've been suffering a painful coccyx since I was pg with Ellie and this was a mega breakthrough. Sadly today, the pain has returned but there might just be hope!
Today marks a month since we re-applied to the Victorian Government in Australia for sponsorship (STNI) to allow us to apply for residency there. We applied back in 2005 but were rejected. We have spent heaps of time putting our case forward this time, but only time will tell if it's going to work this time. We've got everything crossed that this works for us, but if not, we'll just try another way of getting to Aus.
Moving to Aus seems to dominate our thoughts. Each morning, we're logging on to check for emails before we even feed the kids!!
How are our family's taking the news that we want to move to Australia?
Gill's Mum and Dad seem to be taking it well and are supprtive and accepting of it. They are hurt obviously, and don't want us to go, but they're behind us, and already planning their trips to visit us.
Mike's family are not quite so ready to accept it. It seems they are in denial with questions such as "are you still going?" and when we got rejected last year "oh good". We know it's difficult for them as they are older, but we really wish they'd let us sit down and tell them all about it so they could in some way share the excitement with us. Maybe one day.
One thing is for sure, we WANT to go. Whether or not we manage it, well, that's anyone's guess, but we'll try our hardest to make it happen.
