Well, last weekend was always going to be great as we had booked a weekend away to Crieff Hydro which is a fantastic hotel with fab food, great scenery, spa and 6 hrs a day free childcare.

However, before we even got there, we were woken up at 6am on Thursday by George Lomard (our aussie immigration agent) telling us that our application to Victoria for sponsorship has been granted. This came like a bolt from the blue and we nearly fell out of bed!!! We had originally applied for this last October and were rejected as they claimed Mike was not going to be able to find employment. However, our scond submission was accompanied by loads of great recommendations for Mike by employers/recruiters in Melbourne and that together with a super revamped CV seem to have done the trick - woohoooo.

So, next step for us is to get Mike's skills assessment over to George in Sydney (going tomorrow) and assuming that is successful, we will then apply to DIMA for a visa. If all goes to plan then we'll be going to Melbourne sometime around June/July 2007.

We cannot believe it - it's all coming together.

Got another BE meet organised too. Sam (profasional princess), Margaret and Sandra (sorchar) and I are all having a sleep over at Sandra's place in Paisley next month - should be a great night.

Oh, BTW, Crieff was EXCELLENT.
