A New Niece
Went to visit Adrian and with new 6 day old Laura on Saturday. What a doll, teeny wee thing, and I can hardly remember my own being that age. Cat looks shattered and sore - now that bit I do remember, actually, it's never ended lol. Becca was very cute with her and wanted to hold and cuddle her but true to form, Ellie just wanted to open her pressies (baby's have gotta be godo for something I suppose :-)).

Mike looked like he was gettinf a tad broody holding her. Hhhm, will need to watch that - and he was worried about me as well lololol. Funnily enough, I didn't feel it at all, and I thought I would. Maybe we're done at 2 kids after all!!!

Christmas on my Mind
September has brought a chilly wind and lot of rain. And it's turned my attention to Christmas. First things first - need to get Ahren and Brody's Xmas and birthday pressies bought to get them posted off to Oz in plenty of time. Have bought their gifts today just need to pack them and get them off to the post office.

Next, Santa's Steam Train. We've done this the past couple of years and it's a fab trip. It's an old steam train that runs a short line in Boness and it's got a great magical feel about it seeing it on the platform with all the steam. It's rough and ready and COLD inside but lots of fun and santa comes around and brings small gifts for the kids and there's lots of signing. This year, my Mum and Dad and Pam and family want to join us. Took the form to Mum's yesterday and mentioned it to Donna. She seems interested, but doesn't want to go at the same time - shame, it would have been nice, especially as she announced yesterday that they're not having Xmas with us this year and want to be alone. Fair enough, but Mum's face dropped!! This is likely to be our last Xmas here and I think my Mum wanted everyone together just this one time. Maybe they'll change their minds nearer the time. Hope so.
