just a quickie!!Posted on Fri 13 April 2007 at 01:43I went through a phase of blogging nearly every second day - then............nothing. I have been waiting until something so fantastic, so miraculous, so earth shattering occured, that you would be beside youselves with awe at the fantastic lives we lead here, .
However, that has yet to occur! I am working on a post about the gully, but don't have the pics to prove that we have discovered the earliest proof of man on these islands........but watch this space and all will be revealed.....
Did I mention that I have been for a haircut? No? Well, I swear that stylist hates me although I had never set foot in her salon before yesterday. I made the apointment over the phone...... She has done the undo-able......she has made me even more ugly. God - I look in the mirror and I can't decide if I should laugh or cry. Laugh because I look so stupid, or cry because it is soooooooooo bad. Never, in the history of mankind has a haircut made someone feel so bad. And what really rankles is that at the time I didn't really notice and gave her a tip.TIP!!! I'll give you tip!!! Never let me over your threshold again or there might be serious damage done to you, your face, YOUR HAIR (aye, let's see how YOU like it!) and your till as I take my money back! That haircut cost me 2 hours in work but the next 3 months to live down! Bastard!
Apart from that, life goes on smoothly. I came in from work at about 11.30pm and found for the first time since we moved into our own home, that Steve had dug the gas fire out of the cupboard it had been dumped in and put it on. A sure sign that Autumn is indeed here. To begin with, we intended to sit this winter out and see how it went before we invested money in a heat pump. Now I finally have my UK pension contributions in my Scottish account, I have changed my mind. C'mon people who know me - can you honestly see me freezing my arse off here? Nah, it aint going to happen!. So damn savings and college funds, just let me be warm this winter and I will be eternally grateful! Right, have to go, be good!
