Xmas treePosted on Fri 8 December 2006 at 07:35Today we pulled out of buying the house we were looking at. It needed a fair bit spending to take it to the standard we wanted and it was already over the government valuation figure by about $13 000. So by the time we mentally totted it up, we decided not to go for it. To be honest, I hadn’t realised I was worrying about it until we backed out. I feel better now and I am glad we didn’t commit ourselves. We looked at another one that was only about 7 years old and realised it cost the same but we could have moved in right away if only it had been a bit bigger. Quality concrete block construction, 6 zone underfloor heating and large ensuite with bath”. I will keep you posted. Please keep adding your comments - I do read them. It lets me know that someone reads the drivel I write, so keep it up. And thank you. No Shane, Steve hasn’t started guitar lessons yet – we have no guitar at the moment!! I keep him busy with housework. The sun has been shining the last few days, so as he drops me off for work I have been making sure he has plenty to do….well, I can’t have him enjoying the sun without me, can I ?!! I also request the sun lounger and hammock to be ready in the garden for my return. He baulks at waving the fan though…… The Bannit went to her first school disco here and has now come home with a friend to sleep over. The pair of them are now making a serious effort to ruin every last bit of enamel they posses on their teeth by eating Sugar Mountain (no, it’s not a type of sweet, it refers to the amount of rubbish they bought on the way home!). They both go horse-riding tomorrow so they have that to look forward to as well. I was thinking: in the |
