Today is the day!Posted on Tue 3 October 2006 at 12:53Well, we fly today!We think we have sorted the excess baggage problem - we ended up with an extra 18kg since leaving home over 3 weeks ago. I haven't figured out what that was going to cost but I think it would have been damned expensive. However, we have been visiting quite close to where our furniture will end up in storage before it is shipped, so we have arranged for a friend to take it over there and unite it with the rest of our stuff - huge sigh of relief!! Still feel flat though - not sad, elated, nervous or anything really. I think the last few weeks have just drained us. We still really want to go, it's not like we are having second thoughts or anything serious like that. Not really looking forward to the flight though as we will stop in Seoul for 4 hours and off again. Over 24 hours travelling!! At least we have a hire car and accomaodation organised at the other end. Well, last goodbyes to all our families and friends, think of us fondly when the dark nights start to draw in and snow starts to fall!! Try and keep in touch - speak to you soon |
