| The college called today to say that, firstly, the family from a few weekends ago that accused the Nanny of stealing a ring from their home gave the Nanny the option of 'confessing.' She is maintaining her innocence, so the family have called in the police who will be investigatiing. Also, the family that the Nanny herself made an accusation about (the one that asked her to leave early), she has made a formal complaint, accusing the Father of something rather sinister with his daughter. As opposed to summasing, she's gone and got the ball rolling. OK, I said to the college, so this means I will have social workers and police turning up at my house??!! The college wanted to know if I was comfortable enough to keep the Nanny. I said at this stage her work had been even more meticulous, she's making even more effort, so at this stage, I didn't have any concerns about her stealing from us - innocent until proven guilty I think. And this situation with the other family, although terribly tragic, did not involve us. Of course, if anything happens as result or her behaviour indicates anything that causes me alarm, I would of course ask her to leave. The college supports my decision. So, we'll see what happens. Its really not long until she goes, can anything so bad happen before that date? I hope not! Its really going to be interesting to see how these two situations evolve and how she handles herself. I really do hope that the new girl that joins us in July is completely drama free! |
