The ups and downs of our planned new life to NZ, warts and all!

Life is good!Sun 18 November 2007
Just got back from watching the christmas parade in the city, it was wonderful, so much effort had gone into it, it was a wonderful show.  I was able to use my work car park and we got a great spot near.  I'm feeling a bit tender from last night, we went over to Jac and Adie's and I drank all their wine and passed out on their sofa.  Whoops!  The sun is shining this weekend, I'm enjoying my job, life is pretty darn good at this point!  Two things happened this week, the first being loads of tiles fell off the wall onto me in the shower!  The second, Steve's brakes in the car need to be fixed it'll cost nearly $1000.  But do I care?  No!  I leftr a message for the property manager to call me about the tiles but I didn't think twice about it and we'll sort Steve's car out eventually.  Just a few months ago I would have been really stressed and miserable about two more things happening, but I'm not!  We also got our bill through from genesis and its just under $200, how cool is that???  Three showers and sometimes two baths a day (for the household - not just me!) and we use electricity all the time and its so cheap!  Compared to the over $800 in Auckland - which they thought was normal!  We're just going to sit on the deck in the sun and listen to our favourite radio station Radio Harauki - yes, life is good!  Haven't been this relaxed and happy for a LOOOOOONG time.  It really feels like all the bad stuff happened for a reason - YAY!
