The ups and downs of our planned new life to NZ, warts and all!

What a day!Fri 19 October 2007
This morning I met Karanious which was great, she is an incredibly sexy woman, so you-know-who needs his head read!  While she went for her interview I got a good sleep in the car!  Nothing beats radio Hauraki and the comfort of the car with NO screaming children!  I had been called for an interview yesterday and timed it relatively well from dropping off K to going to the interview in the city.  This job was particularly interesting for me and it went incredibly well.  In fact, I was even offered a glass of wine with the team!  Two hours later I emerged to find Steve and two very miserable girls waiting for me in the car.  I didn't realise I'd be that long and they weren't very impressed.  Dash home and straight out to airport to  collect the new member of our family.  I stood rather sheepishly with my little homemade sign with her name on it!  I kept eyeing up all these young girls to see if any of them walked up to me, I think I might have looked a bit odd!!  It was a bit awkward, a long drive with someone with not very good English.  It got so quiet I forgot myself and cranked up the radio to catch the end of AC/DC 'Thunder' to which I enthusiastically started jigging and singing.  WHOOPS!  A grown Mother isn't supposed to like AC/DC!  Ah well.  She seems nice enough, and happy with her room!  So begins the start of another chapter!
