Just finished typing my other blog entry and decided to call immigration, see what the devil was going on with my visa. The woman at the call centre said a decision has been made, but she was unable to tell me over the phone and instead I would receive a letter in the post. A LETTER?? That'll be AGES away, all our mail is being redirected to so I don't anticipate getting it for weeks. I called my Case Officer and unashamedly BEGGED down, I said my life was put on hold, PLEEEEEEEEEASE put me out of my misery. She told me I had been APPROVED! Now I have to send my passport back and hand over more dosh to the people at HQ to get my official stamp, but the wait is finally over! It'll make things so much easier for us, I've found a work visa to be a little restrictive at times, especially when looking at jobs.
AND, I trawled through old emails for when our appointment was set up with the tenancy tribunal and managed to find a different number, I was given Tangi's direct line, so I called him and told him I was eager to resolve the compensation and bond issue with the real estate agency and he said he would take care of it for me and the latest I would hear back would be tomorrow morning. So YAY! I'm glad I finally accomplished something with that as well. In all, not a bad day! |
