The ups and downs of our planned new life to NZ, warts and all!

Weaning myself off trademe!Sun 8 April 2007
So Steve and I had one of those long talks the other day.  I cried a bit about the whole accident thing, and then he broached the subject of trademe.  He said we spend all day driving around collecting things, then I spend all evening bidding on things.  I'm grumpy because I need to be on the computer all the time, I feel sick in the car and complain I'm tired.  The girls don't get a look in, and I'm spending more than the average Kiwi months salary in every couple of days on trademe.  I'm arranging things, making calls, having to email.  In the cold light of day, it really does look ridiculous.  Steve says he's driven more miles in the last few days than truck drivers are allowed!  I finally agree with him.  So I've been arranging the last few pickups, and I'm getting myself in a right mess.  I don't know where any of the places are, so I'm having to write in Steve's diary, change things when he's sees silly times, I shout at the computer for being slow, I'm annoyed that people aren't replying to emails straight away.  I admit, I have a problem!  So NO MORE BIDS for me!  Still, our house will look bloody nice now!  I'm arranging a girly night out with some of the girls from BE.  I'm really looking forward to it, it'll be nice to do something that doesn't center around cleaning and trademe!  It'll be nice to have some time.  Yay!  Also, requested some info about getting my real estate license.  Steve seems to think this career would suit me down to the ground.  I'm not so sure, would prefer to get out of sales, but I'm happy to give it go.  Not long till we move now!  Yay!  Then NO MORE bloody moving again for a while!  OK, have pickups to arrange, grrrroan!  When steve gets home, he's going to check the computer over!  What a sad state of affairs!  Only I could be addicted to trademe, how rock n roll!
