The ups and downs of our planned new life to NZ, warts and all!

Bloody embassy, the delays begin...Fri 12 January 2007
So, the embassy called yesterday, they had lost a photo AND because Steve had written Jessica's name (where the Health Visitor had forgotton) they said that invalidated the form, so they'd have to send another one.  I'm so furious about this.  Its just a name, for a baby.  This will hold us up.  God knows when the health visitor will get on to it.  I just want to get out of here.  I'm sick of it.  Jessie is teething, and we're hauled up in our room, trying to cope with her screaming, feeling very unwelcome.  Its like we're 16 year olds again.  I just want us to enjoy being a family, getting the girls into a routine and having a normal life.  The first few weeks of stress when we arrive will be nothing compared to what we're going through now.  We'd started looking at flights, but now we won't be able to book them until we get ahead on this paperwork stuff.  Steve's sent my some awesome house pictures from Queenstown, one which we hadn't considered as a possibility.  But its all just talk right now.  Our fate lies in the hands of this bloody anal embassy,
