The ups and downs of our planned new life to NZ, warts and all!

Lousy new year's eve...Sun 31 December 2006
So, here we are, contemplating a suicide pact.  OK, that's an exaggeration!  But its quite possibly the worst new year's eve.  My daughter is being treated like public enemy number one.  My Mum is being pretty miserable and seems really fed up.  Caitlin is completely unsettled, she gets told off constantly, and doesn't understand.  Dad keeps asking when our paperwork will be sorted out, which is bloody annoying as its the xmas holidays and the embassy is closed.  Pip's paperwork is ready to go, its annoying that the embassy is closed down, so many problems!  The Health Visitor completed the paperwork incorrectly and has been away sick, so its taken bloody ages.  Steve and I are fit to burst.  We've been the next new year, out camping around NZ, watching the sunrise.  It seems so far away.  We're trying to stay hauled up in our bedroom, which is stressful.  We're just looking forward to the new year, things opening again, getting our paperwork processed and booking our flights.  I think once have the flight booked, we'll feel a lot better, there'll be an  end in sight.  I also hope that knowing that their grandchildren will soon be the furthest possible distance from them, will make then realise how horrid they've been.  I'm so disappointed that things have gotten so bad.  When we arrive in NZ, its going to be so stressful, I was really looking forward to enjoying the xmas holidays, enjoying my family before we leave, but they've made it impossible.  HURRY UP NEW YEAR!  I want to get out of here!
