Today was such an odd day at the rink. There was some kind of drama going on behind the scenes, and it made for a very stressful morning. Class got started very late, so we ran out of time to do any holiday show preparation (which was fine with me, as it turns out I don't think I really want to do the show after all). There was just a bad vibe there that day overall.
But once class got underway and we focused again, I actually started learning the Waltz Jump! Wheeee! Tabitha had me practice it up against the low wall of the rink (thus the title Wall-tz Jump). It's sooo much fun! I can tell I'm going to love doing this, but it will be a really big challenge as well. But I'm looking forward to giving it all I've got!
Still on the list to practice and improve:
- backwards stroking
- backwards gliding on 1 foot
- C-cuts, both inside and outside edge
- T-stop
- Mohawk turn
- Improve speed and accuracy of 2-foot spin
