Why didn't I think of this earlier?

Cassie has a brain wave

So as stated in the title Cassie has had a very big brain wave and she is very surprised she hasn't thought of this sooner!

O.K some or should I say most of my brilliant ideas fall flat on their faces I will be the first to hold my hand up, but saying that I will always give something at least one try.  There is an exception to this rule, i'm scared to death of fairpark rides and won't go on them.  Yes I know i'm from Blackpool but no one has ever got me on the big one and never.......... ever............ will!

I'm hoping this idea won't end up like my last attempt of writing a script for the BBC, yes I did that.  It was a drama I wrote for a pilot episode.  They probally only read the first two pages and sent it back, I was hoping it would get to the next stage where they read it in full and typed a letter on why it didn't make it.  The good part was I wrote it, sent it off and I now know I've done it.  The worst thing in life is to regret things and think what if I did this or that.  What the hell, just go ahead and bloody do it, the only thing that's going to get damaged is your pride!  You never know, you could be a susscess and as life pans out one opportunity leads to another and so on.

So Cassie, stop going all around the houses and tell everyone what your thinking of doing.   Well............ drum roll please .............

Ahem..............i'll say this quickly......... writing a regular coloumn for a newspaper.

Sorry if you were expecting something else.  So why have I thought of this and what's so exciting? I seem to get some sort of pleasure from typing my blog, not sure why I guess it's like having a diary.  I think having a newspaper coloumn would be fun too.  I know i've neglated you guys not typying my blog on a regular basis and I would have deadlines with a coloumn but I think it would be really interesting.

What would I write about, I think I would keep it simple like the way I go with my blog, I always seem to get into tricky situations that seem to be quite entertaining for people to read and hear or should I say I put my own spin on it and that's why it's more entertaining.  My mum always told me that I can make a situation sound so funny when i'm explaining it.

So not sure where to go from here, I need to think of a few columns I can type as example columns to send off to the newspapers here in Edmonton, I'm also thinking of sending out some examples to local papers back in England.  With the high technology of e-mails it dosen't really matter where i'm based does it.

So there you go, that's Cassie's big new idea of the month, lets see how this pans out?

If you were wondering I'm on Detox Day Two, to be honest i'm not as hungry as I thought I would be.  Just had my three scrambled eggs in a bowl, dinner will consist of prawns, raw veg and plain yogurt for pudding and supper will be chicken with steamed Asparagus, Cauliflower, Cabbage and Spinach.  The only flavour I can add to that is fresh squeezed lemon, it's not as bad as it sounds, really it isn't (and no I'm not just kidding myself).  To drink I can only have herbal green teas or water which is also fine with me but lets be honest here i'm only on Day Two!  I could be climbing the walls at the end of Day Five, with that note i'll love you and leave you.

Bye folks, see you soon.

Good luck

Hello Cassie, looks like you are starting a new chapter in your life. I like your idea on writing a column. Local newspapers in the UK or Alberta would be a good target, consider a emigrate paper / website they always need column inches to fill.

Good luck with the idea
