Oh dear, I'm going all deep

When I feel down or i'm just struggking to understand something I very much always turn to inspirational sites, I have no idea why.  I know what's right and what's wrong but it just gives be a power booster to keep on the "right track".

I was thinking about a very popular saying:

Don't put off till tommorrow what you can do today

I was wondering what other people thought about that saying so I started to read the messages on a forum.  One person mentioned that homework and laundry are necessary and not getting on with the important things in life in the long term can hurt you.  Then they poped up with the classic saying "Live for today as it was your last"   They stated that this is irresponsible because it means you don't really care about the consequences of your actions and it gives you reason to be nasty because who cares at the end of the day your dead tommorrow.  There last paragraph was:

"I would say just do what is good for you and be true to yourself.  Don't give yourself excuses, because life won't excuse your mistakes"

There is some truth to that isn't there.  Some sort of wisdom it provides you with to help you decide the right choices to make.  It all boils down to regret and in some ways guilt.  We seem to be programmed with guilt and the wondering of the  "what if's"  Remember when we were children, we didn't say we can't do this or that we just did it.  We were never bothered with the long term it was lucky if we could be bothered to think till the end of the day.  If only we could bring back the inner child and just do what we need to do.

Another interesting take on Live for today and not tommorrow was another persons interpretation on it.  Another poster read it as they should do good through that whole day as you are not promised a tommorrow.  It's funny how different people look at things and I guess that's why the world needs everyone to be different.

As I'm clicking between my blog and this forum the sayings keep coming.  They do make you think, here's another:

"If you love someone or value them, tell them because tommorrow might be too late"

Very thought provoking isn't it, I would like to give anyone that has ever commented on my blog a big thanks, I love you guys.  You might not think you help but you do.

Philosophical Cassie

Different type of entry Cassie but not bad by any means. It is always good to think deep thoughts plus internet connections are strange ones in that you develop these different types of supportive relationships with people you wouldnt even know if you walked past them tomorrow!
