PR Application Submission Day for us - Alberta

Well folks the time has come at last, we've managed to complete the forms for our Permanent Residence - Federal Skilled Worker Class.

My heart is thumping so much and I don't know why.  We've checked the damn things over and over, I did my last check then copied them.  They are going to be making their jolly way to Sydney, NS.   I'm off to the post office soon.

I've checked everything on the website and its all uptodate and also with the Document Checklist you have to print off to send to the Centralised Intake Office.

Neil's Human Resources Department have been great, she has offered to help us with anything we are struggling with, they seem to do this all the time.

Neil couldn't believe his ears when I told him how much we had to send with the application, $1,100.  That's just for starters.   He said "Are you sure you want to stay here!"  This is the kind of person who doesn't like to use the car to the Supermarket, makes us walk everywhere if he can, to save money.

So everyone, please keep your fingers crossed for us, then we can get off these dreaded Work Permits and possibly be able to look at some more permanent form of housing.  We will be able to decorate it to our liking and also not have to hear twinkle toes upstairs, god he makes such a noise!

Just another thing, we took Trinny for here doctors service test at the Toyota hospital.  We were dreading that bill, you know what its like in England when you send your car to the main dealership and you have a heartattack when paying.  When he said 40 something bucks I was quite surprised.  I asked Neil to pick it up as I didn't think I would be able to pay for it.  So she feels better now after her long trip.

Better stop going on and send in these forms and get it over and done with, see you.

Good Luck!

Glad to hear Trinny is going to be ok and only $40. I have found garages here have been less of a rip off than in the UK. But that maybe because we have been lucky in our choice of garage.

The same cannot be said for the Dentists in Canada....phew do they like to feather their nests!
