Nature Reserve - Outside Edmonton

We went to the Clifford E Lee Nature Reserve the other day with my new camera, I went there alone in the afternoon then later on took Neil after we had finished our tea.

Its about 33km southwest of Edmonton and as the webiste states it protects 348 acres of marshland, open meadow, aspen parkland and pine forest.

A view of the lake

One of the walks is a boardwalk that goes round part of the lake

A cute squirel, even though it was getting a little sick of me following it.

Here it is again trying to get away from me.

An American Robin, these things are massive compared to his English cousin checking out a website they are between 9 to 11 inchs.  Wow.

This guy was getting sick of me too so he fled up a tree

A Canadian Goose

There's something about the sunsets and skies here in Edmonton, thats just fantastic.

I went shopping today and purchased a pair of cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat for our road trip, yes I am being serious, gotta get in the Albertain spirit you know.
