The Police Checks Have Been Posted

I finished off the forms last night with Neil, our friends in Calgary did the photo checks for us.  I must admit there are the worst set of photos you have ever seen we look like a couple of psychopaths.    I would like to thank you guys once again you are both worth your weight in gold.

The forms have been posted this morning, even though I know Neil and I don't have criminal records I still  have thoughts in my mind is it going to be clear?  Has anyone else felt like that I wonder.

British Ladies Edmonton Meet Up

On Tuesday I had a British girly meet up at Sherwood Park Mall, we all had a fantastic time.  Four whole hours of real people with a good sence of humour.  It was a breath of fresh air and because we were all so excited we had more than plenty of things to talk about.

We are trying to arrange another one probally in about three weeks time so I'm really looking forward to it.  If you are in Edmonton and want to know the details please PM me, I don't bite.

The Drive back home

The drive to the meet up was easy but the drive back home was a bit of a nightmare as I missed a turn, then a few more.  This was the first time I had driven out of my "comfort zone" I was half hour away from home.  I got myself in such a fluster.  At one point I had to phone Neil to calm myself down, otherwise I was going to get out of the car and just cry.  At one point as I was driving down one main road a guy just pulled out of a side road on me.  I was going the speed limit, I have no idea what the hell he was thinking.

Neil has now given in and thinks a  Sat Nav is definitely on the cards,  he has got the grid system sorted out and thinks its easy to get around.  Another thing is the drivers here are unforgiving if you don't know your way.  If you are in the wrong lane then its hard luck, you've missed your exit.

Oh and by the way what should have been a half hour drive back home turned into just over an hour.

Your comments on my blog

Were really interesting, I didn't realise that these things followed the same pattern - I thought I was just unlucky! Anyway, glad you had a good weekend - I often call Steve in a fluster, sat nav will be great for you! Although I've often founding myself shouting at it and threatening its life in rental cars!
