My Blog Catch Up

Can you tell I'm a busy bee, nowadays?

Lets look back, I'll start with Friday.

I had a day off so I spent some good quality time in the Mall buying some new stuff.  We had arranged a night out with Nel's work that night to go bowling.

The ally that we went to was a Five pin one not Ten pins, I surpose it makes it harder and the bowls are like the ones that you use on a bowling green where they have no holes and are smaller.  It was quite difficult at first but you start to get the nack of it.  I managed a few strikes and so did Neil.

They had some prizes of $50 first place then $25 for second, third and last.  Neil and I didn't win anything I'm afraid.

Saturday was spent at work for me from 11am till 7pm, Neil went off for the day buying me loads of presents so I can't wait to see what he has picked out for me.

Yesterday (Sunday) was another day off for me so we went to the city centre to see if anything was going on in China town but unfortunatley there wasn't.  The reason we did this is because today is Chinese New Year, year of the Ox.

The above picture is of the Chinatown gate on 102 Ave at 97 Street.  Its 12 by 23 metres and was crafted with tradtional tools by Chinese Artisans.

This is Neil next to one of two Lion statues.  Apparently you can place your hand inside the lion's mouth and rattle its tongue to bring you good fortune and luck.  We didn't find out this until we sat down at one of the resturants to have lunch, and we walked back a different way so never had the chance to ring it.  (never mind)

A strange shaped building we walked past

So nothing exciting to report from me, plus I don't want to rush the blog as I don't want it to come across as too boring.  I'm going to type up tomorrow what my feelings and thoughts are about work because I am really enjoying it.  Its looking like I'm quite the Sales Woman.

I'll report back, as I have more time to put into it tomorrow, I'm having to sign off to make some sort of stew for hubby, bye.
