Well, I've found happy Cassie

I got the job

I have had my hand slapped by so many of you for calling it "just" a store job.  To be honest I have always been quite snotty about that line of work.

As you all know I did want that Events job but when I was waiting to meet with the guy about it most of the staff seemed well ............ I'll just say it, miserable.  When I went for the store job they were all laughing and having what seemed to me like a good time.

I want to be part of a "happy" team and that is what this job looks like.  The manager is great and like I've said the staff look friendly and "down to earth".  I don't want to work with people that are rude and because they have a job title let the power get to their heads.  I have had so many office jobs, typing, general admin and they are the same thing day in day out.  I need to get out and be with people, I've found out that I am a people person (sounds daft)

It may be the end of seeing my little cowgirl avatar on all the time now, but you can't keep me away forever I will be on when I can.  As for the blog don't worry, I'm sure when I start it will offer even more stories about my day to day working life.  I'll update when I can.

Neil has promised to take me to a fancy restaurant which I have been dying to go to, which I can't wait for, probally sometime next week.  I think its great me getting a job, I'll be able to get him a birthday present out of my own money this year not his (He He He) or maybe take him out for a meal.

So lets drink one for the road, I start today so I'll see you when I see you!

Congratulations

and good luck for your first day Cassie - it sounds great in that it's a fun place where you can have a laugh too, I know what you mean about not wanting a boring job, I have been stuck in them before and it really makes it hard to get up and go there on a morning.

Let us know how it goes!

New country, new place, new job, lots of winter sports, concerts, what more can you ask for.

Enjoy your first day on the job and remember to smile with your whole face and laugh from the gut.

Congratulations

You will be surprised about alot of new experiences in Canada which would have made you shudder in the UK.

We volunteer more, socialise more, heck Julie has even allowed me to walk next to her while wearing one of those hats will ear flaps!
