Enough was enough.
It simply was, I hate waiting I just can't stand it. I went in to see the guy about the job at the store. I walked through the door and asked for him. One of the guys said "It's Cassie right" I was stood there thinking how the hell do you know my name. The one thing that I used to do was presume things and this is what always gets me into trouble so now whenever I don't know something, I ask. The guy informed me that the manager was saying that an English girl had applied for the job. They had been talking about me, that makes me wonder. Is it a good thing or bad thing.
So the manager came out, he was like "Hi Cassie" so I asked him outright "Hi *****, what's the score, I haven't heard anything. Is there something wrong?"
He informed me that he only had Part Time shifts, I informed him that I was fine with that. Its better, even. I then went on to say "Is that all, you didn't phone me because of that! You were making me worry that my interview or resume was rubbish"
He said there was nothing wrong with me, and he would think it through again, he had handed my resume back to the other store I had originally handed it to as they were looking for a full time person.
So I'm back to waiting again, he promised me he would call me back today.
Moguls
Yes, I don't really mind them but...........
We went skiing last night after Neil got back. We were having a fun time until I decided to go to a bit of a steep slope. Neil was a bit further down the slope and couldn't be bothered to climb back up so he went round the corner to wait for me.
The last time we went it was groomed smooth but as I skied round and looked down it was full of moguls. I was at the top looking down and shouted to Neil "Where the bloody hell did they come from?" So, there was only one way and that was down. Oh before I forget, moguls are like lumps which they create in the slope, generally in Canada they are smoothed out nice but these were dented and slightly damaged.
So Cassie found her bravery, and I also thought Neil was probally laughing at me, so I was going to show him I could do it. I was doing pretty well, I got about half way down and then 'click' it was that left ankle, you know the one I hurt when I fell off my bike in Blackpool, UK. It still hasn't healed that well and sometimes if a move my feet funny I will click it out of place. So I was now having to attempt coming down with one sore ankle. May I say, I didn't fall once, and yes that makes me very smug.
We skied to the lodge and decided to call it a day as we are off to Fernie for the weekend.
The Good Samaritans
I wanted to get home as there is a programme on that I like to watch on a Wednesday. We were driving down the road when we saw a car with hazzard lights on, then we saw another car down a ditch. We couldn't just drive by, we are far too nice for our own goods. Remember never presume.
It turns out this guy was run off the road by one of them big 4x4 trucks. He was pretty stuck and it is the second occasion we have headed to Rabbit Hill without our Snow Shovel. Which is naughty and I will remember to take it next time.
So without a shovel, Neil tried to help this guy dig the snow as there was a lane not so far away that he could drive towards and get out. But it just wasn't working.
Another guy came along and asked if he wanted a tow, and another guy stopped with an extra tow line. So one guy was in his car tugging the car out from its rear and Neil and a couple of other guys were at the front pushing.
After draging the car on its side for a bit out it popped!, everyone started to cheer. I felt so good about it, it really made my day. Everyone helping someone in need. I couldn't have left him, there was one guy that had stopped first and in the end left. If we would have left him I would have been wondering if he was alright or not. I like to see things from the beginning to end.
Yes, I missed my programme. I do feel gutted about that, but I would rather put the needs of others first.
We went to the supermarket to get some stuff and as I turned to get a product 'Click' now its back in place again. I love my new dodgy ankle its great. |
