New Year's Eve

With the King

We went to the Casino at West Ed Mall, free car parking which is great.  They were stating on the radio that there would be a wait of 20 mins to get through to the operators then another 20 mins to wait for the cab.  Couldn't be bothered with that so we decided to take to car for the ease of it all.  I'm the drinker in our house.

I got all dolled up and Neil didn't look half bad as well (only joking).

We couldn't get rid of my red eyes and Neil seems to think I'm the devils daughter.

We received some favours as we got to reception, Neil's hat was far cooler than my stupid feather.  I customised it as it had a great big sign saying Happy New Year which looked silly.  It got ripped off and the feather was placed to one side, so much better.

I know the Hot Dog Sign is a bit distracting

We had the buffet, Veggies, Beef, Chicken, Prawns were on the menu also fruit, salad and cakes.  We received a free drink with our meal.

When we got to where Elvis was going to perform we were taking photos and apparently its illegal to take photos in a Casino.  I didn't know that.  To be honest as it got to 12 midnight no one cared after that and everyone started taking pictures , so I joined the club.

I was told NOT to upload this picture, but I never do what I'm told anyway.

The Elvis act was good he wasn't taking it too seriously.

I'm currently sat listening to Elvis as I type this blog, it got me in the mood.  My favorite Elvis track is Suspicious Minds and Neil quite likes In the Ghetto.  He sang both of them towards the end of his gig.

Me with the King

So its now coming up to 4pm here and still feel slightly off sorts, (hungover).  Neil is led on the couch.

We spent a long time on Skype taking to family and friends.  I had a nice long chat with my mother as she doesn't have a computer /internet and she is over at Neil's parents for their New Year's day meal and buffet.  I must say that Christmas has been good to Neil and I, neither of us feel homesick or upset .

I hope you all had a Happy New Years Eve with whatever you decided to do.

I hope all of your dreams and wishes come true in 2009

Lets see what fun will happen in 2009 for all of us.
