I am startng to feel a bit down

I'm currently sitting downstairs in my apartment block waiting for the Shaw guy to come, why you ask, well let me tell you.

The procedure for letting someone into the building is.  Your visitor is waiting at the door and they phone your telephone number and say who they are, you decide whether or not to let them in.  If it is someone you know you press 9 on the key pad of your phone and the door opens.

Well we have no phone yet, hense the Shaw guy coming to install tv cable, internet and of course the telephone.  I have to wait down here from 1pm till 3pm.  Looking on the bright side there is Wi Fi and a nice leather couch to sit on.  and before you ask, no we haven't got our container with our furniture yet.  We are still on the airbed and sat on the floor or stood up eating our tea.  Who's idea was it to emigrate, I think that would be me so I'll shut it?

To answer a question the other day and I know you were joking Littletoe, Neil has nine years no claims and I have four from the UK.  We are phoning the garage today to tell them the situation and hopefully they will be understandng of our situation.  We want the car so much you really have no idea.

I found a nice B and B in Jasper, (its really a downstairs basement converted) that have the dates I requested as we want to book in on 24th December and be skiing down Jasper on Christmas Day, if I could have any wish right now it would be to get this insurance sorted for the both of us.  I don't think it is asking for much.

We bought a TV yesterday and a telephone, if I get asked if I want warrranty for an item one more time i think I will scream.  One day I will go into one of these shops and they will ask me if I want warranty for a bloody battery next.

As you can tell I'm really struggling this week to look on the positive side of things this insurance situation has really ground me down, I really thought that everything was going well up until this point.

With regards to the insurance, Neil is still trying to ring around, a few of you good BE members have PMed me with your own insurance contacts so fingers crossed we can get this horrible mess sorted.

Lets see how everything goes.

Update

Well the Shaw guy has been and gone, the internet is working and TV is on.  I'm currently watching STAR! and getting all my Hollywood Gossip. But....... there is a problem with the telephone.  Am I really surprised...... let me think for a moment........................... No.

He told me to give it a few hours and it should be up and running and couldn't wait to get out the door.  Why am I having a funny feeling about this.  I hope I'm wrong.  The guy was very polite but I just wish they would stay to make sure things are up and running.

He was going to leave before the tv was set up but I was trying to distract him, asking him to help me with this, that and another regarding e-mail accounts.  I wanted at least two out of the three to be woking before he left.
